Biography
Ash Miah is a fully certified instructor of the Indonesian martial art Silat Buka Lingkaran (SBL), under the guidance of Chief Instructor Alvin Guinanao.
Due to Alvin’s extensive international teaching schedule, Ash has been entrusted to represent SBL at seminars and help establish schools around the world.
With over 20 years of training in the art and teaching experience dating back to 2011, Ash leads a well-established school in London known as SBL London.
A passionate and dedicated instructor, Ash believes in leading by example. Having experienced real-life fighting situations, he draws on this practical knowledge to prepare his students to handle violent conflict both physically and mentally.
Ash is known for bringing out the best in his students, pushing them beyond what they believe to be possible. In martial arts, he believes this is essential for developing strength of mind, body, and spirit.
He teaches students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced martial artists, including practitioners of Aikido, Wing Chun, Praying Mantis, Tae Kwon Do, and competitors in full-contact fighting tournaments.
